The Economist
Editors at the Economist felt hindered by their homepage across web and apps. They needed a better way to give prominence to big stories whilst balancing the need to keep readers updated with the latest developments.
Working in collaboration with the editorial team we create a modular system that gave them the control they needed, whilst improving clarity for readers.
We also introduced “The World in Brief” to the homepage allowing editors to respond quicker to breaking events. And finally, we introduced the “Discover rail”, a thin strip above the top stories designed to promote long-running content and other formats.
